AMT has award-winning journalists on our team and are proud to be a women-led inclusive platform committed to investing in Muslim journalism and providing a voice for Muslims from all backgrounds and ethnicities.
We support emerging Muslim voices - especially young writers - and elevate established writers and opinion-makers who are still too often side-lined by mainstream publications.

Editorial Independence
American Muslim Today fully subscribes to the standards of editorial independence adopted by the Institute for Nonprofit News:
AMT is editorially independent of all sponsors. We retain full authority over editorial content to protect the best journalistic and business interests of our publication. We maintain a firewall between news coverage decisions and sources of all revenue. Any financial support or contribution received is no reflection of donors or their products, services or opinions.
We accept gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals and organizations for the general support of our activities, but as a news platform, we remain unbiased and independent.
Our organization may consider donations to support the coverage of particular topics, but we control our editorial content.
We will make any donation of $5000 and above public. We will accept anonymous donations for general support while maintaining safeguards so that the expenditure of that donation is made independently by our organization and in compliance with INN’s Membership Standards.

AMT is a registered 501c3 which is wholly funded by public donations and grants.
