Footage circulating online shows cats eating corpses left on the streets near a United Nations-run school in the Nuseirat refugee camp. The attacks, which have obliterated homes and disrupted humanitarian efforts, have left residents grappling with both loss and despair.

Talal Mahmoud, a local video creator, shared the chilling footage. The images captured the aftermath of relentless strikes that have impeded rescue workers, leaving bodies unattended in the streets.

The Gaza-based government media office condemned what it termed “horrific war crimes” in a statement issued Monday, highlighting a weekend ground assault by Israeli forces that included tanks, drones, and airstrikes.

The statement accused Israel of systematic killing and the forced displacement of civilians. At least 50 people were killed, and 20 homes were either destroyed or severely damaged.

“This is genocide,” the office said. “The world must take action.”

The Nuseirat attack coincided with strikes on makeshift camps in Khan Younis’s so-called “humanitarian zone,” which Israel previously identified as a safe area for displaced families. Survivors described the horror as missiles struck without warning late Sunday.

“We were sitting in our tents when missiles suddenly started raining down on us,” said Rizq Ashour, 53, a survivor. “They direct us to this safe zone, and then they bomb us. They have no humanity.”

The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted a Hamas member but offered no evidence. The attack killed 11 people in Khan Younis and another five assisting aid trucks near Rafah.

Israeli onslaughts, including airstrikes, and ground forces also besieged the Kamal Adwan hospital in northern Gaza. Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the hospital director, described a harrowing scene as bullets penetrated critical departments, including intensive care and maternity wards.

“Tanks approached under heavy gunfire. The bombing continued throughout the night, targeting homes and even a generator, leaving us struggling to provide basic care,” Abu Safiya said.

Currently, 91 patients remain hospitalized, including women and children, receiving minimal care amidst relentless attacks.

“This is an extremely horrifying situation,” Abu Safiya added on the humanitarian crisis. “The world must understand our hospital is being targeted with the intent to kill and forcibly displace us.”
