As the holiday season approaches, several toy drives across the Dallas-Fort Worth area are working to bring joy to children and families in need.
From supporting homeless individuals to aiding children affected by abuse, these initiatives aim to ensure no one is left without holiday cheer.
The Dallas 24 Hour Club, a nonprofit that provides sober living and support for homeless individuals recovering from addiction, is hosting a toy drive to help parents in recovery give gifts to their children.
New and unwrapped toys can be dropped off at 4636 Ross Avenue in Dallas until Saturday, December 7. The organization is also collecting donations for stocking stuffers, which will be distributed to residents on December 17.
Beyond the toy drive, the nonprofit offers meals and essentials to residents, providing a warm, supportive environment during the holidays.
In collaboration with BAMM (Being A Melanin Mom) and For Oak Cliff, D-E FIT is organizing a unique step aerobics toy drive.
On Saturday, December 7, participants can attend a high-energy step aerobics class at For Oak Cliff on Ledbetter Drive in Dallas by donating a toy.
The event aims to gather over 200 toys for children aged 5 to 13 and will feature local rapper Lil' Ronny and instructor Dariel Embry.
Celebrating its 55th year, WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers is collecting toys for children across Tarrant, Denton, Dallas and Collin counties.
Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be made at Albertsons, Tom Thumb, Amazon, or Milestone Electric stores through December 20.
